Aradhnakart ("we", "us", "our") is operated from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This policy explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. We've written it in plain language because legal jargon helps nobody.
What We Collect
When you place an order, we collect:
- Your name
- Delivery address and pincode
- Phone number (used for delivery and order updates)
- Email address (for order confirmation and receipts)
- Payment details (processed by our COD arrangement / payment gateway — see below)
- Your order history with us
When you browse the site, we automatically collect:
- Your IP address and approximate location (city level)
- Browser type and device information
- Pages you visit and time spent on them
- How you arrived at our site (search engine, social media, direct, etc.)
This is collected through cookies and standard web analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel).
Why We Collect It
- To fulfil your order — we cannot ship without your address and contact details
- To send you order updates — dispatch confirmation, tracking link, delivery confirmation
- To respond to your questions on WhatsApp, email, or our contact form
- To improve our website based on which products and pages people actually use
- To run advertising on Google, Facebook, and Instagram so the right people discover us
- To comply with Indian tax and accounting laws (we are required to keep invoice records)
Who We Share It With
We share the minimum necessary information with:
- Payment gateway (Razorpay / PhonePe / similar) — they process your payment but we never store your card or UPI details on our servers
- Courier partners (Delhivery, Shiprocket, India Post) — they receive your name, address, phone number and order weight to deliver your parcel
- Email and WhatsApp service providers — to send you transactional messages
We do not sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
How Long We Keep It
- Order and invoice data: 8 years (required by Indian tax law)
- Marketing data and analytics: 26 months
- Email and WhatsApp conversations: 2 years
- Account data: Until you ask us to delete it
Your Rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask us what data we have about you
- Ask us to correct any wrong information
- Ask us to delete your data (except orders we're legally required to retain)
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails (link in every email)
- Stop us from sending you WhatsApp marketing (just reply STOP)

Cookies
We use cookies for three purposes only:
- Essential cookies — to remember your cart, keep you logged in, and process checkout
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand how our site is used
- Advertising cookies — Meta Pixel and Google Ads, so we can show our products to people who've shown interest
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent checkout from working.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption on every page. Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant gateways or COD orders. We do not store card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs on our servers — ever.
That said, no online service can guarantee 100% security. If a breach ever occurs, we'll notify affected customers within 72 hours.
DPDP Act Compliance
In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, we collect only the minimum personal data required to process your orders. Your data is used solely for the purposes stated in this policy. You may withdraw consent or request data deletion at any time by contacting us.
Children
Aradhnakart is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared data with us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify customers by email.
